FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about how C2 works, what to expect, and whether it's the right fit for your player.

General
What ages do you train?

The C2 Baseball Club is built specifically for 9, 10, and 11 year olds. Private instruction is available to a broader range — if your player is motivated and ready to be coached, reach out and we'll figure out if it's a good fit.

Where are sessions held?

It depends on the session type. Club sessions are held at the local Little League field in Rosamond, CA. Private instruction sessions are held at my home training facility in Rosamond, CA.

How many players are in each session?

Club sessions are capped at 20 players total, structured so coaching attention stays meaningful. Private instruction sessions are one-on-one by design — just your player and me.

Training Philosophy
What makes C2 different from other local coaches or cages?

C2 isn't a lesson mill or a generic batting cage. I use proven methods from programs like Driveline Baseball, paired with modern youth development science. Every athlete trains on a customized plan focused on long-term growth, not short-term fixes. The goal isn't to dominate rec ball this spring — it's to build a player who keeps getting better for years.

Will you teach my son or daughter to throw a curveball?

Absolutely not. I train players where they are physically. If their bodies aren't mature enough to handle the stress of certain movements — like breaking balls — I won't do it. I want your kids to have long, successful careers that they love and that take them places. Not just to dominate their local rec league at 10 years old.

Do you work on pitching, hitting, and defense?

Yes. C2 trains the whole player — hitting, throwing, position-specific defense, movement quality, and mindset. If your child wants to catch, I build that. If they want to play shortstop, I build that too.

Is the club just group private lessons?

No. C2 Baseball Club is a development environment, not a lesson format. Players train together consistently with personal attention and goal-based instruction. A small group creates natural competition — kids start pushing each other, comparing reps, and taking ownership of their own development in ways that don't happen in one-on-one settings. That's by design.

Club Membership + Pricing
How does club membership work?

C2 Baseball Club runs year-round on a monthly membership. During the off-season you get two sessions per week plus a monthly intrasquad. During Little League season the schedule shifts to Sundays at a reduced rate so there are no conflicts with your player's team schedule.

What does it cost?

Club membership is $75/month during the off-season and $35/month during Little League season. Private instruction is $50/hour. There are no registration fees, no tournament costs, and no travel expenses.

How do I get my player into the club?

The club is capped at 20 players to keep the environment focused and the coaching meaningful. Spots open up as players age out or move on. Reach out through the contact page, tell me about your player, and if there's availability we'll get started. If we're full, I'll add you to the list and reach out when a spot opens.

Are there refunds or credits for missed sessions?

I don't offer refunds for missed sessions. If you give me a heads-up, I'll do my best to work with you. C2's structure rewards consistency and commitment — that's part of what makes it work.

Logistics
What happens after I reach out?

You'll hear back within 24–48 hours. If there's availability, I'll schedule an intro call or session. If we're full, I'll keep your player on my radar and reach out when a spot opens.

What gear does my player need for private sessions?

I provide all training equipment used in sessions. For private instruction, here's what your player should bring:

  • Their own gamer bat — proper size and weight matters
  • Helmet — we have extras if needed
  • Batting gloves — optional but encouraged
  • Cleats or clean shoes depending on location — I'll coordinate
  • Water — highly recommended, but we have bottled water available for a donation

Can parents stay and watch?

Yes. You're welcome to stay and observe. I just ask that parents stay positive and avoid coaching from the sidelines. Your player learns faster when they're focused on the work — not managing two voices at once.
